Probably the prevalent view that Pakistan cricket team shouldn't play India or at least have the strong resolve to pay India back in the same coin i.e., be a certain level of nuisance doesn't hold much water to Munir and co. No statements (and more importantly actions) in support of BCB. Also, I don't think Pakistani players/cricket establishment has as much pride as many Pakistani forum members here - lest they will refuse to play India outright.

In terms of the whole fiasco - its regrettable and BCCI actions are in bad faith. BCB has retaliated and rightly so. BCCI should have been more magnanimous and their actions and not furthering interest of cricket. While one can't separate out sports and politics all the time, in this case such association was unwarranted.

Sad day for cricket overall, Indian IPL initiated this no doubt, but BCB has escalated this to international level.

Reality is, BCCI will get its way no matter what, even if to the detriment of the sport.

The more one thinks about this, BCB has relegated its status as a national board to the whims of Indian domestic IPL, slippery slope which if this goes thru, makes domestic moneyed leagues equivalent to national boards, not good cricket in general.

You do not understand the context of the conversation because you jumped in on it.

India benefits MOST from Ind-Pak matches. Therefore it is not in Pakistan's financial interests to sustain these specific matches. On the contrary, it will harm Indian cricket if we withdraw from these matches permanently - India only has its own petulance to blame for this loss of the "marquee fixture", should it occur.

I am not actually claiming that India should not derive most income overall. That's a different argument for another day.

Firstly, India cannot "kick Pakistan out" of anything, however hard India tries. Indeed, your inability to follow through on your whims exposes your weakness in this regard. Moreover, your "terms and conditions" for playing against us have been matched by us. Again, where is your supposed "strength" if you are now forced to play us outside of India?

Secondly, you seek to boycott us on an ideological principle, as I have said repeatedly.

This claimed ideological principle for boycott is no different from Iranian attitudes towards fixtures against Israel. Establish a full boycott, including forfeiture, and in this way you will enable correct tribute to your own martyrs. Modi has repeatedly tied sports (among other trivial matters) to sindoor. Honour his words.

This would've been the correct approach if you wish to be taken for your word. Yet, India has pathetically failed to conduct itself consistently, placing small change earnings and brief Sunday afternoon entertainment (finances which you and @raj_hindustani have claimed are not needed by BCCI) ahead of the honourable and consistent position of full boycott.

Here we are taking about Pakistan ..the very same country which nominated Trump for Noble peace prize, the very same country which joined Donald Trump's board along with Israel to help them occupy Gaza, build Trump's resorts and disarm Hamas, will take a principled stand for another country, especially if that stand is directly harming its own interest...that's funny!
