JioStar earned from betting apps. Once Indian govt banned them they decide to exit ICC media rights. One of conditions of $3bn deal was guaranteed Pakistan vs India matches. ICC is now shopping around but no one is coming forward.

Now think if there is no Pakistan vs India matches, rights will be worth $500m at best.

Even before that Star India under the gobar called Uday Shakar who created the Mauka Mauka, started the slow demise. He bet so big on the cricket rights that it made the then Murdocks off load Star TV. Disney who in turn bought Star TV now merged their Indian operations with Ambani.

Even after merging with Ambani they cant make a profit. ARPU in India is abysmal.

Its always Indians and their shills who always over inflate their value. As most of our population are not educated and lack critical thinking skills the Indians are able to fool them.

BCB seeks ICC dispute resolution committee intervention

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) remains firm on its decision not to play in India for the T20 World Cup. Although its request to change the venue was rejected at the ICC board meeting, the country’s cricket regulator has not changed its stance. As a final legal step, BCB has now sought the intervention of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) independent Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC).

According to Indian media outlet The Times of India, BCB has sent a formal letter to ICC requesting the matter be referred to the DRC. The letter reiterates the demand that Bangladesh’s matches be held outside India, preferably in Sri Lanka.

The ICC Dispute Resolution Committee is an independent arbitration body composed of experienced and impartial lawyers. It resolves complex disputes between ICC, member boards, players and officials. Typically, if internal ICC discussions fail to resolve an issue, the DRC is approached as a final recourse. BCB hopes the committee will consider their security concerns impartially and deliver a fair decision.

Earlier, at the ICC board meeting on Wednesday, BCB’s request to change the venue was rejected by 14 votes to 2. ICC also gave BCB 24 hours to discuss with the government whether the Bangladesh team will play in India and report back with a final decision.

Despite ICC’s position, BCB remains steadfast. On Thursday, BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul said they will continue their efforts to ensure Bangladesh’s participation in the World Cup and to play at a neutral venue.

ICC/BCCI are making these tournaments worthless by having too many of them. Its looks like there is T20 world cup after every 2 years.

Pakistan have asked ICC to not put them with India in a group for future tournaments.

ICC revenue is about take massive hit.

Excellent. Do not give these hypocritical bastrds an inch.

BCB has the right to EQUAL treatment as ANY OTHER BOARD with regards to safety concerns (or even "political objections").

Indians should be the FIRST to acknowledge and endorse their position.

PCB should really be watching and learning from the proud Bangladeshi qom.

Actually, the PCB has played its cards much better than the BCB. They have ensured they will not have to play any of their matches in India. If the BCB had raised this issue a few months ago, it might have still had a shot with the ICC.

More importantly, this is not a decision of the BCB, but that of the government of Bangladesh. The BCB will be the biggest loser from this expression of self-respect of the government. The question is whether the government of Pakistan will also take a political decision to express solidarity with BD by withdrawing from the tournament or the commercial interests of the PCB will prevail - which is the most likely outcome.

Now that is called trolling and that al zakir Al bengaali gave you a thumbs-up.

Considering the reality.

If Bangladesh can't learn from this incident about how (un)reliable partner can Pakistan be, they will never learn. Or they have an agenda and pretend to care.

The price of Izzat is far greater.

Loser? As if our cricketers were winning us global accolade after accolade.

T20 World Cup: Naqvi rues unfair treatment of Bangladesh, says ‘one country cannot dictate another’

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday said that Bangladesh, which has refused to play the T20 World Cup scheduled in India, was being treated unfairly and should be allowed to participate in the tournament.

Naqvi, who is also the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, made the remarks while speaking to the Lahore.

Bangladesh had announced on Jan 4 that it would not play its T20 World Cup matches in India after its player Mustafizur Rahman was released by his Indian Premier League (IPL) team amid growing tensions between the two countries. Subsequently, Bangladesh had “formally requested” the ICC to shift their games to Sri Lanka.

Subsequently, the ICC rejected the country’s request to shift its games. However, Bangladesh has insisted it will not travel to India for the tournament, effectively ruling the country out of the tournament.

It is also worth mentioning that reports have emerged regarding Scotland replacing Bangladesh in the tournament.

Naqvi said that the PCB’s stance on the situation would be according to the government of Pakistan’s instructions.

“Bangladesh has been treated unfairly. I said the same in the board meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC). You cannot have double standards, where one country can make whatever decision whenever and do the total opposite for another country.

“That is why we have taken the stand that Bangladesh is being treated unfairly and should be allowed to play the World Cup in any case. They are a major stakeholder and this injustice should not be done.”

Asked about a potential boycott of the World Cup, he said the government of Pakistan would make the decision. “We are waiting for the prime minister to return,” he said, adding that a final decision would be taken then.

He was also asked whether he would suggest to the ICC a hybrid model for Bangladesh, similar to the one between Pakistan and India.

“The thing is that Bangladesh is the same member as Pakistan. And our stance is that if you have done this favour with Pakistan and India, then you should do the same with Bangladesh,” he said.

“The main reason for this is that one country cannot dictate another. And if this dictation is attempted, then Pakistan definitely has its own stance,” he said.

Pakistan should not leave Bangladesh alone in its fight against ICC better called Indian Cricket Council.
TIME TO SHAKE UP ICC HOSTAGE BY BCCI
Pakistan must boycott the T20 WC if BD does not play the tournament.
This is the only time to break ICC HOSTAGE taking by India.
Give em a F^ck.

I would support a boycott of the event for safety reasons

Are our fans even safe in India

We could hold a bilateral series in Afghanistan

5 T20s, a few odis and a few tests

I would support this over the WC

WCs in India are fixed events anyway, made to push India to the final and win,
Home pitches, home crowds, biased umpires

India has destroyed cricket

This is hilarious , PCB backed Bangladesh, made them boycott the tournament and then themselves backed out of boycotting business, Lulz

Indians have been spreading lies in unison across social media. This exact lie that Bangladesh boycotted because of PCB. Is this what Indian government paying you trolls to spread? More lies to hide your wounded ego. How dare a puny country like Bangladesh defy the mighty India... let's put Pakistan conspiracy into the mix to save face.

Bangladesh boycotted because after a long time we grew back some spine as nation.

Bangladesh seem to be more motivated and decisive than Pakistan, they did this action unilaterally.

It was not dependent on Pakistan.

It's amazing how you make Pakistan the centre of this when Bangladesh right now are more strong in their disgust of India than Pakistan.

Pakistan had already had their fixtures moved to Sri Lanka.
