Has nothing to do with NATO, its an alert sent out that Turkey will be sailing warships in that area and usually naval exercises.

Its like a "Freedom of Navigation" the US does in the South China sea. Its more along the lines of I'm walking through here and I don't recognize your jurisdiction here, this is international waters.

There is nothing to settle, Turkey announces it, and navigates through, Greece watches and then say the whole thing is its territory so the alert is invalid, Turkey ignores it, then keeps going.

Greece is a State off the balkan Peninsula with island, but mentally they think they are an Island country with Archipelagos like Japan or Indonesia.. lol

Archipelagos is a greek word and was invented to describe the Aegean in the ancient era.

Everyone sails through the Dardanelles as well. Does that mean the Dardanelles isn't Turkish? Should we start shouting "The Sea of Marmara is not a Turkish Lake!!!!" as well maybe?

Exactly: What's behind the Greek islands? Greek mainland and more Greek islands! What does that make it? Greek territory.

What does the Treaty of Lausanne say?

What's Turkey's boundaries in the Aegean? Three miles from the Asiatic Coast,eastern Thrace and Imbros,Tenedos and the Rabbit Islands. Maybe it's six miles now.

Voila. There you go. The Aegean,gentlemen is the greek homeland in its majority.

Don't fall for the childish propaganda your government is trying to enforce as truth. If you want to conquer,say that you want to conquer. Don't pretend history and logic have suddenly changed and you're entitled to more than you have.

No one sails through Marmara without Turkish permission. Marmara is an internal waterway, the Adriatic is not.

Turkey will not ask you permission to sail through the Adriatic, thats the point. Keep it at 6 as it is, change it to 12, you are saying boats can no longer sail without permission, and thats not acceptable.

The Dark green part is area where permission is required to sail, don't expand it to 12, b/c then the lower part around the Dardanelles is blocked. Turkey is also keeping its areas as 6 and not 12.

Turkey will not ask you permission to sail through the Adriatic, thats the point.

And yet it's still our territory,our homeland. Would you go between the sea of Java and say it's not Indonesian territory? Would you go between the Philippine islands and say "it's not a filipino lake"?

You go through specific points and for other points you can't get through,but it's more convenient,faster to pass,you logically ask for permission if it's a military ship or depending on the international agreements you just go through if it's a trade ship. The problem is,your government has been putting efforts to pass the idea that the vast majority of the Aegean is not part of Hellas. Which is wrong,because there's some 6,000 greek jurisdiction islands and islets of all kinds in the Aegean. Making it effectively,yes a "greek lake".

And that's why you're trembling in the idea of an expansion to 12 miles. Of course if you were honest and friendly,I mean truly friendly towards us and had no idiotic claims on matters settled a century ago,you would have absolutely no problem with a greek expansion to 12 naval miles. But you don't,you're afraid because your government has nasty plans. You want islands,you want EEZ that doesn't belong to you,you want wealth that's not yours to negotiate(Cyprus' EEZ),that's the problem. That's what has been keeping us from being two truly friendly countries (on the State level) the last 40 years.
