Shaping up to be a fun weekend.

Getting rain here in Central AZ. Suspect the nearby mountains as well as Flagstaff are receiving snow. Glad I have no reason whatsoever at this time to be in the Central or East part of the US.

And all the way over here, -5F with windchills of -25F, and 18 to 24 inches of snow expected tomorrow.

Same storm system. Who says USA does things small? :D

Hope you are well stocked up.

A little history:

The last time I experienced a storm similar to what the folks on the East Coast are experiencing now, we graduated from HS a full month late.

The south shore of Lake Erie from CLE-ERI-BUF is notorious for heavy snowfalls.

Thanks, but we are pretty much used to such weather. The roads are being continuously cleared, people are driving about, albeit a bit cautiously, and life goes on. I go out an clear the driveway and walkways a few times a day and all is well. We went to the grocery store this morning for the weekly run and there was no panic buying, with shelfs full as usual.

Heck I even saw several bootie shorts walking in, with a hoodie up top. :D

The forecast here in NE Oklahoma still calls for 10-15" of snow.

My street still hasn't been plowed.

Went outside to shovel snow away from the truck stop and Subway entrance a few times early this morning at -15°F and blowing snow. Fun times.

When the driver of the snow plow stops in tonight for coffee and a snack, should pay for it myself and ask him to get my street so I can get back home in the morning.

Problem we have is we are simply not prepared. 6 inch snow and ice conditions and we are screwed.
