Thanks for clarifying. Its fake news, unfortunately.
SAA is trying to sever the one final route connecting Semalka crossing with Iraq and the rest of Hasakah province to prevent anymore foreign PKK terrorists from being able to come in and reinforce the YPG/PKK entrenched in Hasakah city and Qamishli.
"Syria Now correspondent: The Syrian army is shelling SDF positions in the Jawadiya Dam and Bab al-Hadid Dam in Qamishli countryside, Hasakah province."
Finally doing what I've been hoping they'd at least do before the ceasefire was implemented. They had to cut off the ability of foreign terrorists from coming in from Iraq to reinforce the ones already in Syria. Good to see they are wisening up a bit now.
That's true, but luckily that region is very sparsely populated and most of the heavy shelling the army is doing is only on the outskirts of towns to soften up the outer ring defenses. Then they move in with ground units into the town to clear it once a pathway is made. They are not shelling the towns directly where the civilians are, unlike what the YPG/PKK were doing earlier on Al-Safa.problem with Syrian artillery it’s just inaccurate rockets more likely to cause death to civilians than dispersed Kurd militias they honestly need turkey to do the heavy lifting to help try to avoid civilian casualties and they can do clean up after

Again these rockets aren’t the most accurate but that’s what they operate with can’t be helpedThat's true, but luckily that region is very sparsely populated and most of the heavy shelling the army is doing is only on the outskirts of towns to soften up the outer ring defenses. I hope the PKK let the villagers evacuate the area and not hold them hostage again. The army has to use artillery, since they are getting bombed pretty badly too by the PKK terrorists, they have heavy weaponry too, same as what the army has. So the MOD has no choice, can't fight rockets and artillery with rifles only. I don't think Turkey is helping us right now, not sure if they even want to.Again these rockets aren’t the most accurate but that’s what they operate with can’t be helped

PKK is pretty well equipped:
I think Sharaa doesn't want Turkey to interfere as of now. He wants to execute the operation with Syrian soldiers in Syrian soil without the involvement of external forces.problem with Syrian artillery it’s just inaccurate rockets more likely to cause death to civilians than dispersed Kurd militias they honestly need turkey to do the heavy lifting to help try to avoid civilian casualties and they can do clean up after
I was going to say that turkey has already assisted in several occasions against the Kurds so doesn’t really make any sense that they aren’t helping militarily but anything that would save civilians from inaccurate artillery that could be aimed at kurshish militias but could not so theoretically veer off hundreds or even miles away from their intended targetI think Sharaa doesn't want Turkey to interfere as of now. He wants to execute the operation with Syrian soldiers in Syrian soil without the involvement of external forces.
However, Turkish Armed Forces are ready and already offered help for 3 times. If Sharaa gives the order, SDF will be minced meat in a matter of days.
