Hindutva fascist government of India has lately turned the sports playgrounds, especially the cricket stadiums, into political wrestling rings with an abundance of hate and malice towards other states, especially Pakistan and Bangladesh. India was the first country that officially refused to play its matches in Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, indeed without solid grounds and just to humiliate Pakistan, leading the ICC to move all of India's matches to Dubai. Now on the eve of the 2026 T20 World Cup in India, the political tensions between India and Bangladesh are running extremely high, and that too at the public level, and so Bangladesh is indeed justified in asking for an alternate avenue for its cricket matches during this tournament. The Indian home crowed is disgracefully and notoriously infamous for its abuse towards the touring foreign teams. Bangladesh, therefore, has a stronger case in comparison to India's, which was based on fake excuses back then. However, the ICC has rejected the Bangladeshi request just because of the strong Indian influence on the ICC.

As far the decision by Pakistan for its participation in this tournament, it must be made at the political level (i.e. by the government of Pakistan) rather than at the sports board level (i.e. by the PCB). The ICC cricket tournaments are not merely sports events anymore. Instead, ICC has disgracefully turned itself into a platform for political vendetta by the fascist Indians to humiliate other countries. So, the political and strategic considerations must be factored into the calculus while coming up with a realistic decision on Pakistan's participation in this tournament. Pakistan indeed has considerable clout in the ICC tournaments just because most of the revenue generated by such events comes from the Pak-India matches. If Pakistan refuses to participate in this world cup, all estimates of revenue for the ICC, BCCI, and other sports boards will be upset by a large margin. The presumed losses to other global mafias (such as bookies, gamblers, broadcasters, etc.) are in addition to that. Pakistan can use its position to get rid of Indian blackmail and ICC's disgraceful surrender to the Hindutva goons.
