Remember in the Gaza War thread, I had multiple times predicted that Trump will be even worse than Biden was and certainly much worse than a President Harris would be. Heck, he is even worse than if/when J.D. Vance becomes the POTUS.

Trump in his first term rewarded Netanyahu without even getting anything in return! That was a clear indication to what extent he would go to support Netanyahu. And that's the reason Israelis and the Israel-firsters in America were cheering for Trump in 2024.

As for my prediction: US will launch the attack and Iran will retaliate, not just against the US bases but US naval assets in the Persian Gulf. The US Navy will suffer great loses, the damage to US bases will be significant to the point that the United States will negotiate with Iran to stop the attacks, they will offer Iran free trade and accept nuclear enrichment. However Iran will refuse and show America the middle finger and be on war footing.

1) it now realises the threat is existential to its survival, and cannot simply be considered a tactical exchange of blows

2) it realises that US strikes will not end the war, so a stronger response than before is necessary to impose deterrence on future strikes
