I grew up in the 80s in Communist China. To me, this is very understandable in countries where discipline is very high. It's fair to say discipline is not something Westerners understand.

that’s problematic because Russia has a man in place, who only believes to his own created propaganda. Putin cares little to nothing if Russia army loses 1 million or 10 million men. The only thing that matters is how much lands in m2 he gets in return in Ukraine.
People should know, Russia army is only thing the Russians are proud of.
Not economics or anything else
Russia GDP is smaller than Texas. Germany, France, UK have higher GDP. Italy, Spain, Poland will do. I will make a math when Vietnam will overtake Russia economy.

Economy means nothing without discipline. Hundreds of thousands of British men fought in Crimea in the 1850s and handed Russia a major defeat. Today not a single British man dares to fight in Crimea. Today's British men is a disgrace of their ancestors.

You don’t know the saying “money is not everything but without money you are nothing”?
Most Russian soldiers from the invasion army are contract soldiers. they kill people for money.
How can Putin pay them if no money?
They will visit Putin in his summer palace.
And there are hordes of foreigners, from Africa to Bangladesh. They kill people in Ukraine for money, too. If Putin fails to pay them, good luck.
