The US deal was an icing on the cake. If this rate stays, our exports are going to hit $1 Trillion.

I think the timing of the deal was clever. India will probably try to buy time till the next budget to work on reducing tariffs and non tariff barriers for the US.

NO its only 18% now, confirmed by Sergio Gor in the interview with Vishnu Som on NDTV. The 25% additional tarrif on buying Russian oil has gone away!
