Don't worry, Bajwa; he was at that useless Pakistani-American Sajid Tarar's daughter's wedding in Islamabad last December. She married Shameer Cheema, the son of Maj. General Waseem Iftikhar Cheema. :)

I call them useless, as these self-made businessmen who are politically active in the U.S. and Europe are as useless as they come; they have no real pull in the halls of power. Our Pakistanis get fascinated by them when they ask for a favor, and when they can't do it and come up empty-handed, that's when reality hits. The extent of their favors with locals is either visa facilitation for family members or expedited local permits.

It's not difficult to create this environment. I've seen lower-middle-class individuals create the set-up and run it, and they're dripping in gold. I have close friends, married with children, and on the side, running these parties, have all the finest chicks in the Chicagoland area come. I've gone to such gatherings, and still do, due to business-to-business relations, but I've avoided the temptations.

The main question is: at what point will you cross the boundary and get lost? Will you have someone to pull you out before you hit the deep end?

Yaar all my life i lived a simple home to school, school to home life until I get to university and saw a different life style in Karachi, then that Dubai experience was eye opening. Yes here one can get lost into temptation easily, visited Ybor couple of times with friends and its crazy how after 2-3 drinks girls just come to you and start talking.
Plus as a 35 years old, I just want a simple boring life, desk job, house , biwi, 2-3 bache. Ability to support my family as long as they need, this rich people life is not for me. Kabhi kabhi dil kerta hai Rich life spend kerne ka but it will all be left here, kon sa Qabar mai sath le ker jana hai yaar.

Me too. Simple life, preferably away from the cities but unlike you NO KIDS for me ever, by choice! ;)

Related to this thread: Must be very hard to go from a socialite, mini-celebrity, filthy rich to a mug-shot like this! From what I have understood, she went too far in her adoration of the creep Jeffrey Epstein, otherwise she might be yet another spoiled, rich person.

Once you get into this Daldal its hard to come out, even if you want too. Money/power/sex/girls/alcohol, these are more addictive than drugs, and much more destructive. Every Prophet except few were all shepherds and died poor, Specially in a world we live in today, the temptations are too hard to resist.
