Great picture! I see new spider design is on the back wing of aircraft - 09-110 (2009).

Meanwhile below - this picture of 09-112 is very old and outdated.

We saw this same picture everywhere back in 2009 to 2015 on Wikipedia, Google, and many other sites. Same picture repeated!

8 more to go to complete the 50 aircraft order.
Block l = 50
Block ll = 50
Block lll = 42 of 50

What next?
PFX
Upgrades to Block l and ll
Blk I - 50 build 48 survivied
Blk 2 - 60 build 58 survived
blk 3 - 42 build so far
blk 2 B - 26 build 25 survived

so total JFT in PAF service is appx 173 .. excellent fleet. all 4 gen or 4++ gen.

I would say yes, as there is no reason why Azerbaijan would adopt Pakistani tail numbers . The serial number of the airframe is unique, but the tail number is specific to the airforce. You can see the tail numbers of Nigerian jets to see they did not adopt the Pakistani ones either.

Looks like PAF is getting close to 50 x JF17C ( Block III's ) now. That will make it 2 x the number of meteor carriers(Rafales) that the IAF has with PAF PL15E carriers.

( PAF owns the skies right now over South Asia, but things could change when the Rafales turn up on mass though ).

PAF still operates the following :

49 x Mirage III
37 x Mirage 5
52 x F7PGs

Source = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_Pakistan_Air_Force_aircraft

Hopefully PAF can make progress on retiring these soon ( starting with the F7PGs which would be the least capable platform ( regardless of airframe life)).
in reality i expect mirage 3 single seat to be not more than 24 rose 1 in active service
34 single seat mirage 5 rose 2 and rose 3
~46 - 52 F7Pg

this is what my take it counting all these older gen fighter will be 110

True, its not in same league with Thunder but this procurement shows Indonesia is investing in western systems only. Also they simply can't expand more on types of aircrafts.

I honestly don't understand the indonesian airforce. They are becoming Egyptian airforce ++... adding every other type and becoming a logistic nightmare.

F-16s, SU-30s / 27s, orders for Rafales, KAAN and KF-21s already in place and way too many advance trainers / light combat stuff: BAE Hawk 200, Embraer EMB 314, KAI T-50 and now M346

I don't see J-10s or JF-17s coming in this mix. Apart from few Sukhois its all western stuff.

- Indonesia is off the list i guess.
- Sudan can't do in midst of civil war.
- Iran is impossible due to sanctions & geopolitics.

Still possible potential operators:
- Iraq was genuinely interested but US has overwhelming influence over it's govt's decisions post Saddam. Still possible with Iraq.
- Libya
- Bangladesh

France, Italia, Turkiye, and South Korea are strategic partners for Indonesia that are mean to replace USA as main supplier of Indonesian weapon due to previous embargo imposed to Indonesia. We also get relatively free Italian Aircraft Carrier ( only need to pay the refurbished work to renew it), so maybe this is just a condition for that

Hawk are about to be retired at 2030 and Su27/30 are heavy and long range fighters still needed due to its long range capability. F15 EX is cancelled. Kaan only when it is ITAR free ( still long way to go )

In the end it will likely be KF21 and Rafale as others are too old (including F16)

Embraer is for Coin and later will be likely replaced with CN235 gunship. This plane uses in Papua operation.
