What pisses me off is he keeps talking big without signing anything.
If you keep reading he mentions again how the shield will have AA protection,anti-ballistic protection,anti-UAV protection and sea and underwater protection.
And he won't mention how. With what. What will you do? Put sensors underwater? Have unmanned submarines patrol all the time?
He goes out and says "we'll build missile walls". With what? Coastal batteries of harpoon
or exocet? With ballistic missiles? With guided artillery? With what?
He throws vague talk. He went and said in an interview "The(FDI HN)is the best frigate on planet earth right now". The guy who took 2,5 years to sign for a 4th such frigate.
He says we'll have 50% co-production with the Israeli stuff we're supposed to buy. What stuff? When? Why the **** aren't you SIGNING anything yet? For ****'s sake when do you expect to replace obsolete AA systems? When do you expect Greece to get new radars and actual EW systems?

I expect him to behave himself. He is not even the foreign minister, and this guy acts more like the Prime Minister than Mitsotakis. Baldy needs to calm down and stop talking smack about Turkey everywhere he goes, he starts sounding like some undignified beggar. What I would advise them to do is to actually open a bilateral dialogue with Turkey, instead of thinking they can sit on someone else's shoulders and act tough and throw stones, or be used as someone else's pawn.

Idk what the zios promised them, but if they think they will build something that somehow impenetrable or whatever, I don't think they understand, with their budget and geography and Turkey's capacity, it will not be an easy task. Iran penetrated from long range with no air force and only ballistic missiles, with all the US and Europe helping with the intercepts as well as the regional countries where the interceptors were based. How is this air defense of theirs gonna be better than Iron Dome or Golden Dome or whatever. lol

Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias is unlikely to join a high‑level meeting between the Turkish and Greek leaders in Ankara on Wednesday.
"Dendias has emerged as a black sheep withing the Greek cabinet for using his platform to attack Turkey on the international stage."
Sources familiar with his thinking believe the Brussels summit is only an excuse to snub the meeting in Ankara, as he wants to position himself as an anti-Turkish hawk in the cabinet.

This guy is hilarious, he does all sorts of Islamophobia stoking against Turkey, and about muslims in europe "replacing" people, but then says Greece should import more Indians.
He could easily have a career in Turkey as a politician.
That is the rumor. That he's got a big chance of becoming the next ND Party leader and that's why Mitsotakis is undermining him and he in turn undermines Mitsotakis.
But that is not the problem. The actual problem is he talks a lot,he talks big and he rarely signs any serious defence purchace. Remember,he's been MoD since summer 2023 and most of the programs he even reluctantly signed,were already agreed upon or were being discussed by the previous MoD and the Armed Forces.

Nothing substantial gets done + consistent underperformance and underachievement, despite having all the necessary resources available. There is a lack of long-term planning, and there is a continuous relying on larger nations such as the US or EU. This mentality results in minimal benefits from their EU membership. What have they achieved? Honestly, what did Greece achieve during its time in the EU?
There is also a noticeable absence of a precise understanding of what actually is a effective leadership that truly deserves the title.
