The F35 on display was full scale 1:1 mockup with an authentic cockpit, and people could sit in it.
One thing i found very funny was the Chinese delegation taking endless photos of the interior and exterior, most people took selfies or posed in the cockpit but they just snapped pics of the interior. If you hear about how the chinese act at international defense expos, this makes a lot of sense.
