I did watch the video 10 times and still love to watch. Soon it will fly in 3 months.

P0 vs P1

Nose design :
Appears wider and more elongated, with the chin bulge reduced or eliminated.

Air intakes : Longer, higher, and positioned beyond the fuselage chin line; slightly closer to the canopy. This improves engine intake airflow, critical for supersonic performance and radar reflection reduction

Landing gear and hatches : Landing gear, more standard in the P0, is fully integrated into the fuselage and made suitable for stealth characteristics in the P1 (optimized for low radar cross-section)

Overall dimensions : slightly reduced compared to P0

TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu:

"We have been working with Saudi officials on KAAN for over a year and discussing many options. Direct purchases, full integration, and everything in between.
I am very pleased to hear and see that this discussion is currently at the presidential level. We will continue to discuss the options. I hope that we will reach a point where we can sign a contract within this year."

Congrats!

Ah, Deino. You were not believing in this project 10 years ago. To be truthful, when i first joined this forum back in 2012, most of the Turkish posters were not believing either (myself included)

It's like a dream come true.

It's like a dream come true.

Their was good reason many didn't or couldn't believe

The amount of sheer effort to get to this point in this short a amount of time is incredible

After Spain, I am sure that Poland and Ukraine will also purchase KAAN, but there are still at least 10 years to go.

On the other hand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and even Bangladesh will also become KAAN users.

In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and Egypt are our potential customers.

In the long term (perhaps 20 years from now), Nigeria, Morocco, and Algeria may also be interested in KAAN.

You cannot sell the same fighter jet, the Kaan, to both Morocco and Algeria without a peace treaty being signed between the two countries. Türkiye's role should be to ensure this treaty is concluded. As someone who knows the history of this issue, I can say that Morocco is essentially in the right.

TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu

"The first deliveries to the Turkish Air Force will be made in early 2029

We are currently in the final stages of the approval process for the F110 engines coming from the US. Based on our discussions with US and Turkish government officials, we do not anticipate any problems with the delivery of the engines.

We may receive approval this month or next month for the first batch of F110 engines to be used in KAAN Block 10 and Block 20

We aim to equip KAAN Block 30 with domestically produced engines. Our target is 2032 for the first test and 2033 for the final delivery.”
