Since February ‘22 Russia has gained about 10% of Ukrainian territory at the cost of 350,000-400,000 dead and wounded, over 15,000 equipment losses, 3,000 tanks etc.
Nearly all of its strategic goals defeated.

At what point will you admit it was a complete disaster for Russia to invade Ukraine?

The excuses and massive movement of goalposts I’ve seen from Russian supporters the last two years has been incredible to witness. We’ve gone from taking Kyiv and Kharkiv in March ‘22 to “Hey if Russia gets a million killed, it’s aight. No problem” today.

Outlasting Russia in a war of attrition is impossible for Ukraine. Neither US funding nor Ukrainian man power can likely be greater than what Russians are willing to expend at this point.

Ukrainians have recently started to target Russian oil refineries more frequently. This is a promising development. If the attacks are ramped up significantly, then Russia may soon have problems with funding the war. In my opinion, the successful and sustained implementation of this strategy is the ONLY way for Ukraine to prevail. This should have started much sooner, but better late than never.

Yes, the beginning of this war was a disaster. But, here is the thing, wars can last for years or decades. Russia will pummel Ukraine into the ground, no matter the cost or time.
