in such an extreme weather, how do you plan for accidents?

for instance, pipe breakages and gas leakages!

in London, if there is a thunderstorm, I avoid buses at all costs and do regular inspections of pipes for leakages!

and I keep my contacts updated

Normally, houses are built to avoid theses happenings. Main roads are cleared in a given time per their settings, in our areas, secondary streets are cleared of snow quickly, as they have the facilities and we pay lot of property taxes to town and state.
