The J10CE is the most powerful jet in the PAF - has it not earnt the right to be the lead aircraft in the PAF now ? PAF need to rethink the message they are sending out with this.

J10CE to lead the flypast now, followed by the JF17C, then F16, then JF17 Block II's1's !!! Order is order of technical ability and sophistication ..

Another recent image (April 2023) suggested that a recon variant (JC-10C?)/electronics testbed/AI technology demonstrator of J-10C (08 batch) just flew at CAC presumably featuring a conformal instrument compartment attached underneath the fuselage. Consequently the twin 23mm cannon underneath the air intake was removed. The latest batch J-10C (08 batch? January 2024) features a holographic HUD and new EL formation light strips.

The lead ac most times is a twin seat where the air chief rides as the
" passenger" unless he has the rating n the hrs on the lead ac.
On very few occasions has the air chief actually lead the fly past while at the controls.

Plus j10 c has no twin seat varieties

The army chief does not sit in a tank to lead the army procession, naval chief does not bring up a dingy so he can lead the naval procession so why does the air chief need to lead the airforce procession? Sounds a bit silly to me..

When u look at things that way, then ever thing looks silly.....this thread is silly, this site is silly, u replying is silly n it goes on n on.

Wasay its a tradition going back in the PAF n it is a good one at that.
The coas does ride a tank....its his armored Maybach....
The naval chief should insist on the parade vanue moving to the shore of rawal lake so he can ride a canoe or a sailing boat from the naval sailing club their

I have different view point. Pakistan co-develop & co-own JF-17s. Pakistan also got its dual seat version. You got to value your own product. Lead with JF-17s, CAS himself should be in JF-17 . At one hand you are marketing the jet and you yourself is not leading with it. By all means JF-17 is backbone of PAF. Most squadrons have JF-17. Its the single most important aircraft in the inventory because of sheer size & ownership in the project.
