Is this confirmed or just speculation?Blk 2 for Somalia. From PAF inventory as PAC only makes blk 3 since upgrades and retooling and is gearing for PFX.

you will be surprised how far the program is. Pakistan never revels what they are working on and how far along a project is, you will only see it when the final product is reveled. There is nothing happening for "PFX" at any manufacturing level right now. It is pure speculation to suggest so.

The prospect of Somalia acquiring the JF-17 presents a significant strategic opportunity, provided the geopolitical cards are played correctly. If Pakistan were to provide high-level "backdoor" operational support—reminiscent of the rumored strategic assistance provided to Sri Lanka during its conflict with the LTTE—it could prove to be a decisive game-changer.
Given that Somalia currently possesses practically no functional air force, the role of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) becomes indispensable. This is not merely a hardware sale; it involves a total transfer of operational doctrine (and may be actual ground and field support too). Without deep-rooted training and technical oversight from the PAF, the JF-17 could easily be underutilized or mismanaged. However, if employed effectively, these jets would provide Somalia with a renewed offensive punch to disrupt Al-Shabaab’s supply chains and neutralize domestic threats.
By leveraging this aerial advantage, the federal Somalian government could consolidate control over disputed territories like Somaliland and stabilize the region. Such a victory would serve as a massive publicity boost for the JF-17, positioning it as the premier "turnkey" solution for small nations seeking affordable yet lethal air power.

Why BLK2s from PAF? Wouldn't PAF want to upgrade them to BLK III standards?Blk 2 for Somalia. From PAF inventory as PAC only makes blk 3 since upgrades and retooling and is gearing for PFX.
@Mr X Can we please ban AI-generated posts?
Your credibility would have been better served had you not taken credit for the ideas in your post and let AI take the blame instead. Interestingly, AI these days isn't this silly by default. It's when people ask it to take untenable positions that they themselves prefer when it performs such mental (computational?) gymnastics.A- It's not AI generated post but my words are corrected by AI for better wording. All points mentioned in this post are my own.
B- This isn't an AI-generated post; these are my own thoughts and points, simply refined by AI for better clarity and flow.
You can see the role of AI by comparing point A (My poor english) and point B (AI enhanced).
the ideas themselves are ok, i dont see any issues with them. whats wrong with them?Your credibility would have been better served had you not taken credit for the ideas in your post and let AI take the blame instead. I'm amazed at the people who liked your post. Have they lost their minds?

There is no equivalence between today's Somalia and Sri Lanka during its civil war. Sri Lanka was a functioning state with functioning institutions. From what I recall, Somaliland as a state is more functional than Somalia. I don't see how a few JF-17s "could consolidate control over disputed territories like Somaliland and stabilize the region."the ideas themselves are ok, i dont see any issues with them. whats wrong with them?
