The only reason why the taliban started this new war is because they were emboldened by Pakistan backing off after the taliban went crying to foreign mediators.

The taliban know now that they'll get away with it, so long as they cry to the right people and appeal to Pakistan's soft heart.

My post was not about good and bad Taliban. It was about bombing, which should mean one thing that id TTA stops supporting TTP, then bombing would follow.

Asking for regime change is difficult and won't get traction internationally.

I condemn all forms of terrorism and extremism, hamas, taliban, boko haram, isis etc.

I believe in the rule of the state and its military.

taliban are terrorists and their families are complicit for the deaths of thousands of Pakistanis over decades.

Afghanistan launches 'retaliatory' attack on Pakistan, Taliban say

Afghanistan has launched a "large-scale" military operation against Pakistani army positions in response to recent strikes, Taliban officials have said.

The group's chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the offensive late on Thursday along the shared border had killed "numerous" Pakistani soldiers and captured others.

This was denied by a spokesman for Pakistan's prime minister, who also contested Taliban claims of capturing Pakistani military posts. He claimed Islamabad's response had inflicted "heavy losses" on the Afghan side.

It comes after the Taliban said Pakistani strikes earlier this week killed at least 18 people. Islamabad said it had targeted alleged militant camps and hideouts.

Taliban military spokesman Mawlawi Wahidullah Mohammadi said the "retaliatory operation" had been launched at around 20:00 local time (15:30 GMT) on Thursday.

Mujahid wrote on X that "in response to repeated border violations and insurgency by Pakistani military circles, large-scale preemptive operations were launched against Pakistani army centres and military installations" along the border. He said Taliban forces had captured 15 military posts.

Pakistan's government said the Taliban had "miscalculated and opened unprovoked fire on multiple locations" across the border in its north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which had been met with an "immediate and effective response" by Islamabad's security forces.

"Early reports confirm heavy casualties on Afghan side with multiple posts and equipment destroyed," said a Ministry of Information & Broadcasting statement shared on X.

"Pakistan will take all necessary measures to ensure its territorial integrity and the safety and security of its citizens."

I am never and will never be in favor of muslim fighting muslim.. but we need complete peace from central asia to pakistan including afghanistan. i am all first for peace by dialogue and if dialogue fails than last option is struck them all those who thinks killing any muslim by whatever reasons they have are justified.. sab fassaadiyon ko phir khatam karo completely but take caution for innocent civilians

What if Wakhan and Panjsheer split? Why do they want to sit in Kabul? They cannot control it. However, they have to secure the Tajik side border to sustain that part.

It's all speculation.

An Afghanistan without Wakhan suddenly becomes invalid as a united nation. It would collapse, as Pakistan would have no need to negotiate with Afghanistan, and would simply bypass them via wakhan.

Remember, more and more of these types see us as Israel/doing the US' dirty work.

They see us, due to the fault of he who shall not be named, engaging in a war on behalf of the states. They see us as selling out the palestinians etc etc.

In their eyes, this isnt a war of self defense, this is muslims vs the US puppet govt...i wonder whos fault that is.

So the media narrative will be like this too. Im sure eventually everyone will wake up to it. We're seen as the Asian Israel, why the hell are we putting ourselves to detriment for the sake of the ummah, when the ummah is not interested in us. In these guys' eyes, Pakistanis do not have the same right to life as Palestinians, afghans etc.

This is outcome of no single individual sir. Look how we have run our Afghan policy since 1979. Read Zaid Hamid (perhaps one of biggest army supporter in the country) book "From Indus to Oxus" whre he has re-produced quoted dialog between himself and then serving DG ISI. How ISI pushed Pushtun into Kabul to takeover despite different ground realities. Tajik took over Kabul in 1992 and Pakistan instead of engagement them backed Taliban (Former interior minister Lt. Gen (R) Naseer ullah Babar in 1996 declared Taliban as " Our Bachy" i.e. Our kids) and that was the movement when India estalbished links with Tajiks and Uzbiks... and then came 9/11 and we did another 180 degree flip in a hope to get Northern Alliance into our fold but it was too late. Tajik and Uzbik never listened to us. and then came 2021 and our defense minister tweetedطاقتیں تمہاری ہیں، خدا ہمارا once US announced withdrawal. IK was no visionary in strategic matters but looking at this history, can we say anyone was ever? Everyone was "managing" Afghanistan as per need instead of forming a 100 years long strategic vision to guide our foreign policy towards Afghanistan. If today, Taliban are in India's lap whose fault is this? When US was in Afghanistan, we helped same Taliban against whom we are waging wars now. If you think one who can't be named was always running your Afghan policy... then quesiton is, he is in jail since last 3 years ... why situation has gotten even worse?

brother you are taking taliban as afghanistan? but in my definition 43 to 44 million muslims people are afghanistan. i clearly stated in my post those who has an understanding that fidaayi and killing innocent muslims ambulance and mosques, they are clearly kharjis.. kharjis means who declared muslims as kaafir and justify their killings. for people like that kill them completely finish them.. we need complete peace
