Brother, the issue is that I don’t know how, by whom, and with what seriousness the dialogues have been conducted so far. That’s why I said that if sincere efforts have not yet been made, then they should be tried first. And in those dialogues it should be made clear that if, even after this, attacks continue from their side, then we will have no choice but to respond directly. However, during this response, full effort must be made to ensure that no innocent civilians, children, women, or non-combatants are harmed, or at least that such harm is minimized. Afghanistan has very limited resources and cannot sustain prolonged conflict, especially given their unusual policies — like bans on girls’ education or restrictions on internet access — which have already caused frustration among their own people.
