The Pakistan Military itself has been negotiating with TTP in the past. The HGB group in NW had peace deals with the military while Mehsuds were fighting the army in SW.

Is Pakistan going to be able to stabilize KPK and sort this Afghan problem while the whole province is alienated? Absolutely Not.

There is a massive clean up going on in every part of the Muslim world. Saudi cleaning up in Yemen; Türkiye cleaning up in Somalia; Turkiye/Pakistan cleaning up in Libya; Saudi/Turkiye cleaning up in Syria etc. This Af-Pak kinetics is the clean up in the Eastern end. This consolidation has to happen for the new “Sunni Axis” to be effective. The real war is yet to begin.

Will Pakistan return these posts, when the operations are over ??? Did PA return the posts from the previous operation?

I have a suggestion. How about we lock all PTI supporters in Pakistan and send them to Afghanistan?? And for all PTI supporters overseas, we pay the Governments there to send these PTI goons to Afghanistan. It would be a BEAUTIFUL Day !

The mistake that the Soviets made (in hindsight) was not simply saying to Pakistan and Iran: "we'll annex north of the Hindu Kush, where the Turkmens, Uzbeks and Tajiks live, Iran can annex the far north-west where the Aimaq live, Pakistan can annex Kabul, Kandahar and all south of the Hindu Kush, where all the Pashtuns live, and we'll allow a small mountainous buffer state for the Hazaras." ?

There is no comparison between Baluchistan and Afghanistan. For Afgahnistan we have tried everything and yet we got suicide attacks and whatnot. Anyone proposing peace talks at this juncture is either a compromised person or simply a cuck.
