The conflict will escalate increasingly. I am pretty sure Iran has some nuclear devices assembled or being assembled. At some point if they don´t reach a status quo, Iran must any a unknown card at his hand. Irán has been out of inspections for more than six months.

Trump is thinking(/hoping) he can control when this starts, when this finishes and when to declare "victory", that this is all within his control. The real question if Iran agrees with this schedule, and if it has its own schedule that will overlap the World Cup.

ie how long will this "formal war" carry on for with active hostilities.

Again, it's not Iran directly, but groups that associate or symphatised on Iran, like Hezbollah, Hamas, or Houthis, or whatever group Iran supports, I mean, it could be Russian Separatist (well, it's kind of a stretch........just saying)

No country supports terrorist attacks directly, even though AQ wasn't directly supported by Afghanistan and the Taliban when they attacked the US. I am just saying this is going to open the door to a terrorist group to attack the US during one of the biggest world events. If the terrorist alert during the FIFA World Cup is going to be 7, this will shoot it up over 10.

Its always the Saudis that have needed the Pak military help, while Pak has always fought its own wars.
Pakistan can survive wars.
Saudi Arabia will need assistance in time of war, but this war is not aimed at KSA.
