Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

I don't understand how anyone can claim that the Taliban from the 90s were friendly to Pakistan. They were just as unruly, hard head and extremist. They gave shelter to sectarian terrorists that were wanted by Pakistan and refused to extradite. They also gave shelter to Alqaeda. They would execute people found guilty of their weird Sharia in stadiums in front of the public. They refused to listen to any plea from Pakistan after 9/11 to give up OBL and abandon Alqaeda.
I won't defend their barbarity but they used to give assurances to Pakistan in private about how they are one in spirit and love it for the sake of Islam & would never threaten its security. This changed almost instantly once they gained national political power.

As unfortunate as it is, Afghans when weak are amazing at sweet talk and know exactly what talking points drag Pakistanis along to help them until they have enough power to turn against them.

In short, Pakistan was fooled like a little naive boy, not to absolve the state of any blame but this is more of a criticism.

So what's the update now ? Fighting still going on or its quite/peace?

This is an excellent opportunity that has present led itself to clean house in Afghanistan. As the world is focused elsewhere Pakistan ought to make mistakes of the opportunity.

Fighting is going on but there is a media blackout in Afghanistan, the GDI has instructed Afghans not to post any videos online. So you probably won't get much visuals
I think after initial push, its time for PA to find and kill TTA leadership, because foot soldiers of TTA don't matter to their leaders, they are canon fodder anyway, as for TTP they are already suicidal so killing scores of them also will not stop them, so better take out their leaders.
