This is the same country that was hit with chemical weapons by Saddam and didn’t respond with chemical weapons.

This was the same country whose diplomats were beheaded by Taliban fanatics and all they did was line up their forces on the border and fake as if they were going to invade and never did.

So yes, it’s not shocking that such a risk averse Government never took the final risk for nuclear weapons. It actually makes a lot of sense when you look at prior decision making.

Keep in mind they had a chance to learn from Saddam and Ghaddafi and routinely described those lessons in formulating their deterrence and still they decided to not take the path to the bomb.

Then the peace talks. I think that one purpose for them was for Israel and US to get confirmation that Iran really does not have nukes. The more the Iranians tried to convince the US that they really didn’t have nukes the more likely it became that Trump would order the attack.

It's what happens when you mix religion in state affairs. You have a thousand different opinions, versus the state's sole reason to protect its citizenry.

Nuclear weapons is no different then a bomb, you can just bomb an aircraft carrier for example

So thats not the reason it was deliberate choice..they saw an opportunity USA fatigue to war. So they took it back stabbing us in the process destroying qadeer khan.

AQ khan didnt deserve the back stabbing they did

And it worked with sanctions gone, moeny pouring in, for a while Iran flourished which led them to become rich and expand the proxy war to whole region. Iran was arrogant enough to say no to Pakistan for IP gase pipeline on our terms(asking for twice the money we were offering okay your gas your choice)

Who would have thought Trump will come in power..

So you went from congratulating total victory to they have courage? Yes Iran shows resolved but they are fighting because they have no option, they were given no option.
Now you can join the long list of people who are born and live in Pakistan but loyalties lies in Iran/KSa/Afghanistan, don't matter... but reality is different on ground, so far Iran lost many military commanders, civilians, and military bases are being hit, we have seen some impacts in Tel Aviv and other ME countries but any major causality reported? nope, any important figure from Israel or USA navy got hit ? Nope, in fact we see some hits in countries like Bahrain/Kuwait/UAE which are no where near to Israel or America when it comes military compatibility, so yes your statement as emotional support is fine but reality is not what you are wishing for and even Iranians can see that things are grim.

This changes things. That is a lot just for Qatar.

There has to be a way to target missile batteries to neutralize the defense systems otherwise Iran would have no choice but to try targeting critical infrastructure to raise costs if they can't cause military damage

Not talking about Qatar's infrastructure but rather Israel and maybe others

Will Russia/China help Iran target Patriot/Thaad batteries or they chicken out?
