Even the official statement from senior official suggested that Khameini did not want to hide in bunker, despite knowing he was sure to be the target in the first wave. US and Israel unintentionally made him a martyr in a faith where martyrdom is embraced with open arms.

The reason Keir Starmer is giving for joining the war is as we say in the UK, absolute "Horse shit" ....

Offensive attacks are now "defensive" ..

If Iran attacks these bases(which now Iran has the legal right to do so given that they will be hosting combat forces), then the UK will be doing "offensive strikes as defensive", he has basically put the UK into the war ...

You don't send reinforcements if the war is going your way (to be clear the US / Israel is clearly much much stronger than Iran and has the upper hand, but they have also cornered themselves with an unrealistic expectation that they can emerge from Iran without meaningful casualties which will be difficult if the war is prolonged).

I think the main reason is Keir has intel that the US / Israeli offensives are not going as well as western MSM is propandizing so he (and other Europeans) has no choice but to increase support to tip the balance in the west's favor. The west is basically built on American hegemony and any blow to the hegemony is a blow to the collective western power / interests globally.
