Hundreds of trucks move between Iran and Iraq daily. how do you know the missiles aren't already in Iraq? And if they were to come today, very little chance to know.

Iranians are masterful as smuggling.

Just look at how they get missiles to the Houthis, without a land connection, bordering Saudi and the Sea.

Iraq is next door, along a long border and a friendly shia govt.

I hate it and its very frustrating when they lie like that, but we'll probably see it in the coming days, Iran is playing the attrition war card not sending 200 missiles in one go depleting everything

As for the launchers claims, i believe that Iran has a lot of them remaining, especially SRBM launchers, i don't believe the Israeli claim that a major number of launcher were destroyed and that Iran has only little left, theres a little number of videos of launchers struck, not hundreds, they said the exact same thing in June yet they posted recycled footage of launchers destroyed, and Iran fired countless of missiles after that time, also launchers are easy and cheap to produce and Iran should have produced hundreds of them since June

As for the missiles, all missiles stored in the bases are likely completely intact, some bases had their entrances struck and some other not, it's very difficult for the US/Israel to disable them as they are so huge with so many entrances spread on kilometers

US should have a very limited number of GBU-57 operational as they didn't use any of them yet, and they are likely not piercing enough to reach the stored missiles, which are more than 500m under mountains with deep granite layers

As for the 700 missiles left claim, it could be true but only for MRBMs, if we count SRBMs, theres likely thousands of them remaining, but US/Israeli estimates for missiles stored are also not accurate

What i believe is that Iran is playing the long term card, this is probably why Iran sends small salvoes and not 100+ missiles in one wave, also, the more missiles are launched at the same time, the bigger the loss will be if they are detected and struck

So far, Iran has done a good job of "crazy Iran", i.e. its responses were not predicted and not within the expectations of those who "planned" this operation with it starting to look like a disaster, and that approach is causing serious problems to far more people that originally predicted.

I do think, the "next step" imho is for Iran to may destabilise Iraq a little bit(not much) ,by launching some raids into Iraq under the pretext of needing to set up a buffer zone to protect itself from armed militias from Iraq.

The point I am trying to make, is that to make this operation look likes it going out of control "even more" for the USA by it actively de-stablishing Iraq which the Americans tried to put back together after their wars + occupation. Not much of an ingress, maybe a "buffer zone", but enough that it cannot be dismissed easily by the US and noticed by all.
