US is not falling to pieces. It is still one of the strongest countries in the world but a declining power.

Pre Iran war US was the most important and powerful country in the world.

Post Iran war US is one, amongst other powerful countries in the world but firmly declining relative power it once held.

It is back to the table with the rest of us. Not on a throne anymore.

unfortunately its the only way sometimes to build a soft image and brand in foreign countries.......
Plus the "American interests" and special agendas......even supporting shit like lgbt in muslim countries...
Closure of the US-AID programs led to closures of alot of NGO's and alot of people closed shop and many lost jobs......so Trump did do all that.

I dnt think the Dems will resume that right now anyway.....whats done is done?

America chose to spend that money so no need to cry over spilt milk.

Secondly, people do not need to be grateful because that $3.8trn, if true, was a trade.

US industrial military complex (stick) and the "aid" (carrot) was a carefully designed system iterated over decades post WW2. In return, the world chose to use the American system.

US benefited immensely from that system in terms of capital flows.

The capital flows came in the form of bond market investments amongst various others.
Japan, SK. Chinese, ME flows etc. US is the only country that can run such a big deficit and debt to gdp due to the carefully designed system.

The system requires both carrot and stick to work. As carrot and/or stick is withdrawn the system would slowly revert to multi polar system . The reversion has started some time over 10 years ago and is currently very noticable.

It has not fully reverted and I estimate that a lot is yet to change.

US GDP growth in return beneffited estimated $2-3trn.

You made a bad trade. No one needs to be grateful.
