And what makes you think that such a change in majorities in the midterms will change US policy on Iran in any different way?

Consensus is that Trump doesn't care about his 'popularity' or Midterms. There is one video I saw yesterday where they said Trump could Veto Congressional resolutions/bills and it would require 2/3rd majority to over-ride his Veto. That's Nearly impossible given not only the hold of AIPAC on most Congressmen but also I don't see the Midterms will are going to cause a big change in parties' strengths.
The world should brace for nearly three more years of this Mad Man in office.

The US destroyer was refueling from an American fuel-supply ship, about 650 km off the Iranian coast in the Indian Ocean, when it was struck by Qadr-380 and Talaeiyeh missiles fired by the IRGC Navy.
