USA cannot cite the same logic. Iran's kinetic action was always against Israel. USA is fighting someone else's war, at significant economic cost to USA. This is very stupid of them.

They just wanted to destroy as much Iranian military capabilities as possible and kill as many Iranian military personnel as possible. They are after psychological and political objectives besides military ones. They want to establish an absolute aura of invincibility so that no one could oppose the peacemakers for decades in the region. We can not ignore the psychological and ideological mindsets of these two respective personalities.

As I said before, if they wanted to maximize kill, they would have done what they had with Venezuela, which is basically a full count of all Iranian capability, but they did it in a smaller scale in Venezuela because they just needed to clear the path so the 160SOAR guy could fly in and scoop up Maduro, so literally nothing stand between the insertion point to the Presidential Palace. They didn't do anything as they did with Venezuela; we know that because there are simply not enough assets Trump amassed to do something like that. It is going to take more than 2 CBG to do that.

It's in Russias interests to keep this war going on as long as possible. This increases oil prices (boosting Russian revenues) and keeps global attention away from Ukraine.

I believe Russia will intervene in some form if Iran is close to folding but will not try to tip the balance too much in Irans favor either.

China I think has a similar interest. Keep the US bogged down in the Mid-East and it's attention away from East Asia.

With Russia, it is more a question of ability than intention. They have been bogged down in Ukraine for over four years. Their allies have been whittled away at one by one. Even Belarus, which is a de facto Russian protectorate, is looking for other options by joining Trump's Board.

Barzani and Talabani both would never want to directly get involved in this conflict, Iraqi Kurds are doing relatively better than the rest of the Kurds. I do not think Iraqi Kurds will be willing to share their wealth with the rest of Kurds, therefore the dream to have an independent Kurd country / state may never materialise or even if it does it won't stay united for long and be able to sustain.

I do not know about other Kurds, but Iraqi Kurds have no issues with Pakistanis, in fact they were jubilant over Pakistan's victory over india (hindi) in May 2025 short war. They like IK (for his UN addresses and statements), and most of their immigration staff at Erbil airport treats Pakistani passport with very respect.

They may have genuine grievances against Iraq, Iran, Turkiye and Syria. But they are pro development and are not extremist kind.

I wish Pakistan had a consulate there.

I don’t know what O is but I know what types you are referring to. Arent B2s capable of that? But then why (in the order of most likely imo):
- The war is senseless and the idiotic admin is just asking military to have things in place
- There is a chance that Iran gets to do a test in which case it may be considered
- If Iran not only tests but manages to launch one
- Some people are trying to fullfil biblical prophesies here (i hope not as that would be disastrous for the world and region)

Well, there were two types of Ohio Class, SSGN and SSBN. This is probably going to be the "gun boat" of Ohio, the SSGN, which packs 150 tomahawk missile, but then it wouldn't make sense unless they want to do a seaborne invasion.

But the other thing on the coin is that they were using the SSBN, which means it's medium range tactical nuke.......

I don't think Iran's test is unlikely, the last report suggested Iran is at around 80% enrichment level (IIRC it's 83), it's going to take at least 5 years + for them to get to around 90 in peace time (That's how long Japan took witht their fast neutron research between 2008 to 2014 when they handed the HEU back to the EIA), which is suitable for a nuclear weapon. And then you also need missile technology and miniaturisation to be able to become a threat. That's multiple decades away.

That probable, if you look at the kill footage, that was the final part of the kill when the stern of the ship was already in black smoke, that's highly probable they were already attacked before they filmed that kill shot, and there may be more than just a single Frigate Iran sent.

So why is the rate of fire dropped? Hard to believe a country with the size of Iran could have most of their missiles and launchers taken out in 4 days that easily, especially considering the mountainous terrain. The US found it hard to find mobile SCUD launchers in much smaller Iraq which is mostly plains and desert back in 1991, so I find it hard to believe most of Iran's launchers are already taken out.

If anything, this war serves as a powerful lesson to China or Russia if they want to seriously fight the USA, have to take out all of USA's satelite surveillance if want to blind the enemy's eyes from their military assets and activity.....

Iran should have done something about the enemy satelites that can be used to track and detect launches. And now with the advent of AI, AI can do analysis of satelite data more faster than humans.
