For this regime, middle eastern conflict is to be perceived through the lens of judeo-christian rapture and armageddon, for which "divinely ordained victory" may need to be "marketed" in a novel way. This new informational paradigm does indeed raise the possibility that major losses (e.g. of jets or ships) would need hiding, for optics.
