Any Ground Invasion of Iran will be like Battle of Kursk...
1.Too much time given to Iran to solidify the defenses for ground invasion...merely airstrikes won't weaken Iran defenses for ground invasion.
2.Iran is expecting ground invasion so sort of no shock and awe aspect...
3. GCC morale is down and they are also in shock, so they want it to end..
4. No new candidate in Iran is stepping up for leadership to negotiate because whoever will step up will be looked upon as an agent of Mossad.
5. Now Russia and China are actively supporting Iran...

Couple of points.

The fact that US are bringing in bombers is that they think the current bombing runs are inadequate.

What will US boots on the ground achieve? Considering additional assets and logistical support will be required to keep them safe. I still think US boots on the ground is a remote possibility. And in addition, the Iranian forces are deeply entrenched to inflict maximum damage and gain an advantage.

It would be great if we all lived near the equator like Electric Viking on youtube and could power everything with solar panels (like he can in Australia)..but alas most of humanity is stuck far north where the sun is at a very inefficient angle.
