I do suspect that the US have lost personnel but the numbers being mentioned are seriously inflated.

US is sneakily hiding its losses and stalling announcing them to the US public (because it knows the US pulbix has nkt given the US military authorizationto enter any war except for self defense of the nation), which i think might make u underestimate its war losses.

On topic, it appears that air traffic in the region might slowly return to normal to help the people stranded there, but the real important issue would be whether the Strait opens to oil tanker traffic or not.
