My question - is our sky really secure with a lot of air defenses even though the numbers are very low?

Did we learn from May 2025

The thing we should have learned from May apart from AD(cuz budget) is the need for SOW like ALCMs and ALBMs , you need a whole grid for the AD while not much for the other , besides we saw how indian SOWs performed in the WAR while we switched to fatah 1s and single number cm400akgs...

Iran current situations?

Iran doesn't have good OTH/early warning radar coverage resulting in large scale ALBM attacks very efficient .
I am not saying Pakistan should not invest in AD but just that we have to be efficient with our small budget , reduce the expenses on protocols and other facilities and get better HAS , fuel storage , better connectivity within the systems and at the end save up for AD .

Have we procured any new western AD, What about new Shorads? I have been hearing rumours thought they might be seen on one of the parades

i wish those rumours are true cuz the IN chief also said that we were buying a lot of stuff after their OP sindhoor....

Yes, new inductions to improve AD capabilities and overall ADGE - people at AHQ ain't just sleeping after May war.

I just hope we don't get dragged into the ongoing conflict. Otherwise you'll see good show on 14th August Insha Allah.

So we are back to not celebrating our national day ?
In the so called Dictator era General Zia , we celebrated Allama Iqbal day, Quaid e,Azam day , both birthday and anniversary.

Spring day as national Horses and cattle show, Yeme Qarardaad e Pakistan day 23 March , and 14th of August independence day, 6th September defence day , 7th September air force day
All on state level and mandatory for schools and colleges to hold functions, so that children can learn about these national events.

Various reasons. Ramadan, ongoing global geopolitical crisis, security threats amidst war on western front etc.

Is it wise to put your leadership and plenty of assets in one place just to show off - all while the armed forces are currently directed to maintain high level of alertness and preparedness for any contingency.
