I am of the opinion US / Israel might try to enforce a no fly zone over an extended period of time and then have the confidence to send boots on the ground.

Even this strategy has a lot of holes. Trump’s popularity will nosedive when they see oil prices hitting the roof and Iran is not Iraq where they’ll run out of missiles, drones or importantly the will to fight against aggressors.

What league would this be? Iran has taken on USA head on thus far without folding, so it qualifies, it seems.

I dont think thats possible against Israel and US. Both countries hold the escalation ladder. That can be troops on the ground to nuclear weapons use in case battle is going south.

I think its just a start of the war and then ground troops will compose of NATO striking from the North and amphibious assault from the south and mercenaries from Iraq.

Perhaps a cross channel invasion along the lines of Operation Sea Lion. Given the narrowest point is a little over 20 miles, President Trump can stand there with his super duper high power binoculars and see the beaches of Iran.
