I dont think thats possible against Israel and US. Both countries hold the escalation ladder. That can be troops on the ground to nuclear weapons use in case battle is going south.

I think its just a start of the war and then ground troops will compose of NATO striking from the North and amphibious assault from the south and mercenaries from Iraq.

If not then US power status will be severely hurt and the $ will crash globally.

Perhaps a cross channel invasion along the lines of Operation Sea Lion. Given the narrowest point is a little over 20 miles, President Trump can stand there with his super duper high power binoculars and see the beaches of Iran.

I am of the opinion US / Israel might try to enforce a no fly zone over an extended period of time and then have the confidence to send boots on the ground.

Even this strategy has a lot of holes. Trump’s popularity will nosedive when they see oil prices hitting the roof and Iran is not Iraq where they’ll run out of missiles, drones or importantly the will to fight against aggressors.

The worst case scenario is even after Iran's Ballistic Missile threat is degraded to almost non existence, Iran keeps on firing drones at the US and its allies
In that case, US can capture some port city of Iran with what Trump calls limited Ground offense.
No need to go in streets of wider Iran but hold the Iran's choke point and maintain it for a month or two until Iran falls in line.

Historically speaking, that's very much actionable plan.

nope... I have met a dozen plus Iranians over last week.. I work with a few too.. all with British, American and French passports.. all hate ayetollah, all love raha pehlavi plan esp. the 100 say referendum and all want the war to continue, no matter wht. most have family/relatives still in iran.
these westernised Iranians are ALL deluded. its like a virus that infected every one of them.

We Pakistani's for the most who have lived abroad for many decade's, still go back regularly, with our children.

We don't tell them it is completely bad, nor that it is completely perfect.

We say x, y, z have done good thing's when in power and that x, y, z have done bad thing's in power.

These people who left Iran have just told themselves and their children and so on that it is a complete hellhole no freedom's, women suppressed etc.

So this is the outcome nothing but total biased hatred, no rational questioning of it.

Iranian blood pre and post Islam runs from South to Central to west Asia so does the culture, language. Islam rode through both.
