Going forward, much in Asia/Middle East will depend on how this war ends. A battered Iran will be the end of Iran as a sovereign nation even if it would be able to preserve its territory. A prevailed Iran would be the death sentence for Israel and for the American military presence in the Middle East. This war is indeed a pivotal war!

Your historical facts and wish for America to decline is a thing of past and future. The present is Iran getting destroyed and being run over with so many moles that IRGC has to go rouge and independent to attack other countries. Iran was left on it's own in last 2-3 decades. Mullah regime tried to spread Shia'ism and start proxy wars with other countries. Then foolishly tries to embark on nuclear program which has given them zero benefit and their own country survival is at stake because of it. Iran is stuck b/w two extremes. 1 group who want liberalism, 1 group who wants religious hegemony. I don't see a third option for them.
