If Iranians talk - and pause - they'll be bombed again. Unfortunately, I do not see any way out for Iran except to build nukes or be nuked. I doubt they have the capacity - at least not any more - to do the former.

i think we muslims just need to ride these last stretches of uncertain times without getting dealt irreversible damage to our countries.
with the rise of china as a global super power and challenging us hegemony, we will get plenty of opportunities and freedom to chart our own path towards tranquility and prosperity.

Hi,
No military is complete without a powerful air force---. Iran needed a 500 unit strong gen 4 - 4.5 aircraft force alongwith complimentary awacs and tanker force. It had the funds to buy them and had time enough to train with them but somebody had to have the understanding of what air power can do.
We see very little role of IRAF in all this scenario---its presence does not exist. Obsolete aircraft like the SU24---and another russian aircraft---.
Seems like the air force generals were slapped silly and ordered to shut up by the Drone / Missile strike force---.
There is no know existence of standoff weapons either---no potent air to air bvr missile---.
Even shooting 1 F-35 after losing 50 aircraft would have been a victory for IRAF---. Many a things happen when you have aircraft flying around--. Enemy mistake can be taken advantage of.
I do not know if iran has a seperate army other than the IRG---.
