It’s a fallacy to think that the “Islamists” are more hawkish than the “secularists”.
Facts around the world tells a different story.
Islamists are timid externally - their energy is focussed on religious indoctrination.
It’s the secularists who are nationalists and focussed on challenging hegemony.
That’s why US loves Islamists.
Iran is an outlier where the Ayatollahs have let the secularists run defence and foreign affairs.

Well I think Iran needs a 100% guarantee if US is not going to attack Iran again within 6-12 months from now?
It should be their final decision, not US' lack of commitments and bullying frequently.
