He means well. There's much that I agree with him, elsewhere. But somethings are too institutionalized in Pakistanis; political, ethnic, social, religious, and sectarian rhetoric being some.

They don't even debate, just moan and whine for the sake of it.

They have some grudges against Pakistan that they do not know how to let go off.

They do this constantly.

They come in secretly, set up a check point for a few minutes to a few hours, extort the locals to make money, shoot a bunch of people, then leave when they realize the army or the police is on its way.

Its nothing new, but it is a consistent problem that needs to be addressed.

This only happens because they have some local support to run and quickly hide themselves.

Easiest solution is to put surveillance cameras everywhere in all the hotspots and KP need be strict with their policing.

I find your comment surprising considering your background. You do realise these people are afraid? Will the military prevent militants from kidnapping and executing them and their family members on their next visit from Afghanistan? Close the border first and equip local LEA to provide protection before expecting people to put their and their loved ones' lives on the line.

Yara, there are a million people that live in these areas. All some (maybe 1, 2, 4 or 5) of them have to do is pick up the hotline and call or text the military/FC. That is it!

I am not asking the locals to take the militants on themselves. But get the military/FC information about where these terrorists are.

Let's not find excuses for the locals when there are none. We are not asking the locals to stand up lashkars and take the fight to the TTP. All that they, as citizens of Pakistan, have to do is to Inform on the TTP just as any other city dwellers are expected to when thieves/robbers come to their neighborhoods.
