We are now in such a bizarre state of affiars. Iran is now pounding Israel massively, no live reporting is now allowed in Israel.

US is desperately looking for a way out and Israel clueless. Iran seems to want to carry on and the Gulf countries in chaos.

Work HR emailed us this morning cancelling all business trips to Mid East as quite a few of our sales people go to Riyadh, Doha and Dubai. So irregardless of flight operations restarting major damage being done.

Now I just hope this thing finishes soon. Middle East will have such a different dynamic....

That's the million dollar question...USA has tech that might outmatch even the fiercest Iranians. Nobody doubts the resolve of the defender, but can they cope against the tech that USA will deploy in a ground assault?

Even on the ground, distance should be maintained by Iranian defenders by deploying battlefield drones. A modern USA ground invasion will look very very different to Desert Storm etc.

It's hard to say but I don't know if Iranian conventional forces stands a chance. Assuming they don't, they do have the mountainous environment to hide and launch guerrilla attacks for decades more.

They wouldn't stand a chance in a direct confrontation; they'll have to switch to hit-and-run tactics, slowly bleeding U.S. and allied forces over time. At most, it makes it costly in monetary terms, and KIA or disabled people are sent home suffering PTSD, so they can drug themselves to death.

I think these ships are always present in the northern part of Arabian Sea during the whole time of the Iran war.
