Asked around about it. Other than US military jets shot down by friendly fire, no other manner aircraft have been lost. Israelis and Americans are flying over Iran uncontested. The current Iranian Air Force are not capable of countering them. The missile and drones from Iran has been much more effective in attacking their points of interest, with some legitimate targets comprising of some occupied and empty US airbases, along with civilian casualties in Bahrain (which is also a result of their own feud with Bahrain for a long time).
The only Iranian air defense weapon proven to be useful has been the 358/359 loitering munitions and the Majid passive SHORAD. These are good for tackling MALE UAVs, but not fighter jets.
If iran survives this war, the next step would be to build supersonic versions of the loitering Air defense munitions that can loiter in an airspace then quickly attack a fighter jet. Since these are launched off of rails and simple ramps, they are much more survivable than big bulky air defense systems that can detected from space.
Nonetheless, Iran will need to likely import billions of Russian or Chinese systems and completely rebuild the air defense architecture from scratch with lessons learned from the war.
Iranian Air Force and NAvy were non factors (as expected). I wouldn’t expect iran to invest heavily in either post war.
