Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

The one way Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran canbe on one page is by denying US any operational or surveillance capacity via the kingdom. That should resolve any Iranian objections for use of territory in any offensive manner. The worst thing that can happen right now is to jump on the fork.. it is suicide.

Remember the conclusion of crusades happened only when Fatimid Egypt and Zengid empires united under Salahuddin. It has been done before and desired results were achieved.

no troops would be deployed, pointless.

KSA has the most built up c uas systems around, their ad operators also have drastically more experience than ours. If anything, we'd need their help here.

What I was trying to say, was that I don’t think Pakistan should have gone into this agreement, no matter what the Saudis can provide it’s not worth risking fighting a three front war. But because we are piss poor, we have nothing to offer for our loans except our army.

You dont have luxury to be deploying F16s to SA in the middle of war with Afghanistan which is a huge entity with targets spreads over vast swath of territory. While having to keep an eye on India which will become belligerent, just a matter of time. That Modi-Natanyahu jhappy was not just for the cameras.

Regardless, any Pakistani military involvement in this ME conflict, unless its against Israel, will be suicidal. And if you have read the history, in these situations, our tilt has been towards Iran. Simply put. you cant change the geography, your immediate neighbour is, must be your utmost concern. We cannot be seen aiding one against another, rather just suck it up and act stupid while pointing to our own conflict with Afghanistan.

Dear i specifically mentioned it's rumor (circulating in many fb and whatsapp post) and tried to get idea on authenticity. It's not posting that news, it's asking about it from knowledgable people. Anyway if that's wrong I won't do it again.

Heck I tried a few years back to push Pakistani C-UAS to KSA because I had a very good contacts and it would have really opened doors. Alas the usual “gaggus” could not see beyond their own commissions and greed so other players including those owned by Indian expats got through while these duffers talked about “Aise nahin ho sakta” and will remain confined to bad golf, fiberglass exhibits and their property dealings.

UKPs will forgo 10 earnings today because they want 8 instead of 3 but will eventually beg and grovel to get 0.5 earnings to keep 0.4 and the brag about it everywhere.
 
If we are sending planes for cuas then we should atleast demand apkws kits from Americans

did we have anything good to offer as C-UAS? any indegenous system?
 
Unsure what we can offer of substance. Our real strength vis a vis the Saudis is probably our Navy and our massive land army.


C-UAS they probably have some good kit, their Fighters are moder advanced then our F-16s.

Our JF-17s and J-10s will be at great blue on blue risk in the crowded combat air scene and our SAMs cannot integrate with any of the assets in the region
