GoP must be commended for current handling of the situation. Pakistan is the only country that neighbours iran and has not been targeted and has also remained friendly diplomatic ties with during the conflict. Otoh we maintain positive relations with the us, are successfully bullying the taliban internationally with trump being very happy by our afghan adventure. Meanwhile saudis have garunteed oil supplies via yanbu port and we seek 5 billion loan from them which inshallah they will likely provide for managing the fuel crisis. What more can you ask for? Instead we are rushing to see how we can stupidly mess up last 40 years of Pakistani policy in balancing our relations between gcc and iran.

Some humans are more qualified, knowledgable and naturally gifted by Allah to be in certain positions of policy making and power — do not attribute that to inherent human value, that is the mistake in your analysis.

Why should the opinion of 1000 uneducated people overrule the opinion of 100 educated people with more experience directly related to foreign policy? It simply shouldn't.

Direct or "western democracy" is a self-destructive fallacy. A selective- representative democracy decided by the qualified is what Islam and logic believes in. It is also the system that built every nation in the modern century, like the East Asian tigers.
