EDITORIAL: Pakistan has to maintain a delicate balance where the geopolitics of the US-Israeli aggression against Iran are concerned. It involves condemning the aggression against Iran, while not castigating America too harshly, and censuring Tehran’s counter-attacks on GCC allies. Perhaps the difficulty of maintaining this balance was revealed at the UN Security Council on Wednesday, where Pakistan supported two competing resolutions linked to Iran.

The first, sponsored by Bahrain, criticised “egregious attacks” by Tehran, targeting the Gulf sheikhdoms and Jordan. While the Bahraini document was adopted, a Russian resolution mourning the “tragic loss of life” during the hostilities was not, with the US envoy to the UN accusing Moscow of protecting “its partner Iran”.

I would not read consipracies everywhere. Remember it has been two weeks now on a war footing and constant tension. Men and equipment are getting overused and tired and as it goes on more and more human mistakes will happen.

Human error probably explained the KC-135 collisions earlier. I would expect more of this sort of thing as the war drags on....

We have been engaged in conflict since 2001, and have accomplished nothing beyond further destabilization. It represents a sunk cost in terms of personnel, equipment, time, and financial resources.

With no end in sight.

Agree, another blow to American power and wealth, this whole fiasco has probably given China another 1-2 years head start now.

Also if US are moving a lot of PAC-3 and THAAD from Pacific to Middle East they are now very exposed

It has certainly closed the gap due to American expeditions abroad. Within the next 10 years, I feel they (China) will be head-to-head in technology stack and other hardware and software development.

As for your second point, they recently moved equipment out of South Korea, and yesterday, they said they will move additional equipment out of Europe.
