Well Iran can really drag this out if they wanted to - they just have to move the nuclear material (if they have it) to Pickaxe and hold out and hope for the best. No way a small Infil team is going to retrieve them - each cannister weighs 1 ton or more.

The apology matters much more than just its effect on the war as you mention.

Owning up to mistakes and trying to rectify them is part of the US national psyche and not doing so will leave a stain on it that will not go away.

I know, looking at this from US perspective, if this many bomber cant bend nation

do they think, 10 year down the line, they will have an easy ride!

(it is amongst the top nations to achieve this feat!)
