An Iraqi faction leader was targeted in a residential complex earlier today in Baghdad

Unclear who the figure is or if Israel or the US carried out the assassination attempt

But it was condemned by Iraqi Security group :

PMU and BADr brigades figures were targeted, both of them are not part of this escalation. If reports are true that Badr brigade number 2 is hit, its a massive miscalculation by US/Israil.

Badr has laid down weapons in 2011, Their numbers are above 50k and IEDs were their doing which ran havoc.

Can the fires damage the containers near the ones that are hit? Pakistan also hit Taliban oil containers , wondering if they will all be taken out, or do you need to hit every single one of them?

Yes the fires can spread to nearby tanks like we saw in Oman attack.

Even flame retardant alloy can only provide a fixed amount time flame protection at X temperature.

It makes firefighting also challenging because the fumes are toxic and carcinogenic.

Depends on how they are hit and which fuel is inside them. These tanks are designed to be fire resistant i believe

They will start using saudi airspace just like last night since the refueler got hit. Best solution is to take down the refuelers at hangars. They sit open in sky not in under hardened shelter like planes.

Drones like herone900 and reapers are dropping lying flies, If somehow iran manages to distrub the airbridge by hittiing bases in jordan and israil it will bring good advantage to Missile forces of irgc.

At that time Iran only had Israel as foe, TP1/TP2/TP3 (12 day war) in which Iraqi airspace become the problem for IRIAD because no HIMAD could reach the ALBM/SOW launch zone. Had we got the SU-35S back then with R37, the refuelers could be hit in air. I wrote pages in IRIAF section on this including a scenario in which Iraqi Airforce needs to be funded and armed by IRI.

Against US the scenario totally changes because they wont allow your fighter jets to roam freely in air or rest on ground either unless we get more and more underground bases like Oghab-44 which probably houses 1.5 squadron at best.

So yes the only solution is for IRGCASF to neutralize refuelers on ground which they are trying to do and we will soon start to see the results like last night. One thing about IRGC is that they learn and adapt very quickly.

Trump is getting extremely desperate for a face saving deal out of this. If ground invasion does not happen (to be seen), I feel the war will end in a week with Strategic IRI victory.
Too optimistic

IRI's strategic survival is in strengthening of Iraqi chapter of AoR on par with Yemeni Houthis, they should have strong A2/AD capabilities with mobile TELARs of SHORADs/HIMADs, 358/359, BMs/CMs, Kamikaze hit drones, their own EW capabilities.

At this point the us might have to genuinely withdraw from iraq because the situation there seems to be getting worse by the minute

Will be the biggest victory for IRI as of yet in war ... that too of strategic nature.

My prediction, Syria's Sharaa will be activated by US/Israel against Hezbollah soon, he has openly said he will do that. We might see Iraqis entering Syria as tit for tat.

Ain't C-RAMs supposed to be on ships?
More importantly, when the hell does an embassy even need that.....

This Iran's tiny Kharg island of 20 sq km in the Persian Gulf processes 90 per cent of the Iran's total oil exports, and therefore is critical to the country's economic lifeline. The question is, would US force dare to seize it from Iran in the coming days to devastate its economy ?
