Frankly, It would mean that Pakistan has taken the side of Israel and the U.S. The only reason U.S bases in Saudi Arabia are being struck by Iran is because the Saudis are allowing our enemies the use of their bases and air space to attack Iran in contradiction to their word that they would not!

In case of #1, how delusional but then I know how the expats think. Plenty of Pakistanis too think like that about Pakistan.
In case of #2, the usual suspects of whataboutism, multiple posts without substance in very thread. The fence sitters, the hypocrites.
In case of #3, dwelling on the symbolism of the UNSC which long lost its value.

Regarding (2), one should have a great disregard of history to use the word 'soon' for a war in that region. Going by recent history, Iraq war of 2003 lasted nearly a decade. The Afghan war almost twice as long. Iran gains nothing by stopping the war now and for U.S., while the cost of continuing the war is high, it is not intolerable. if they can keep the Hormuz somewhat passable, it is in nobody's interest to end this war.

Iran is nothing more than an oversized pawn in greater scheme of things... American 20 years sojourn in Afghanistan gave a breathing space to china and has almost caught up with America.....20 years of American stay in Iran will catapult china to become the dominant power of the world.

As someone said, US may try operation using Iran friendly flag ship to enter the Gulf and try to take over Kharj island. A chinese named oil tanker with a Chinese or any other country's flag .... will be interesting scenario ...
