Iran really needs to be careful regarding KSA. The last thing they need is KSA invoking the security pact with Pakistan.

There must be conditions and clauses in the agreement as a purely defense agreement. Pakistan will not be involved in an attack. Most of the attacks coming on Iran are from Saudi land and airspace. So Saudi Arabia is one of the aggressors not Defenders. Iran is just responding back. It just happens to be the response is significant so it feels like Saudi Arabia is under attack.
