So - Trump has thinned out USA support for Europe, and now he is doing the same thing for his "Asian Allies".

Food for thought for these Asian countries on the future USA/China conflict, ie don't get involved since the USA will do to these Asian allies, what it has done to its Middle East Allies, ie left them to protect themselves totally on their own..

If Iran will survive this war then make no mistake Iran will appear as 10 times dangerous on the world stage later. It's geopolitics profile will go up and Iran will become the first nation to defeat US and isreal in recent decades. Everywhere else US and Iran succeeded in their war objectives. Iraq,Libya ,Syria etc. Even Afghanistan to some extent bcz the comparative losses they suffered were almost nothing.
Not just that Iran will learn valuable lessons from this war. And next time it will be almost impossible to defeat Iran. Isreal will get very weaker with no US support and greater isreal will stay a wet dream only.

With Trump essentially doubling down, I wonder if he's actually stupid enough to start a land war in Iran.

If he is, then American power in the region is basically finished.

The only place they can do a land invasion from is Iraq, and in doing so he will destabilise Iraq after the USA has just about bought some order back to Iraq.

People keep mentioning the so-called defense pact between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. However, no one in Pakistan knows what the deal is. It was made by a military strongman who has no legitimate or constitutional right to be ruling Pakistan or signing secret deals on its behalf.

In reality, there’s no deal, other than one unelected man making promises to another unelected man. Nothing to do with the people of either country.

Exactly my point. Their is no mandate, no discussion in parliament, no national consensus, no clarity. A pact is a serious agreement, whereby reneging on commitments is serious. Concocted by a self styled field marshall and towed along by lip serving criminals doesn't bode well.
