I would advise people to take a grain of salt with these reports incriminating Saudi Arabia in the run up to the war against Iran and also during the war. NYT is a Zionist mouthpiece and Washington Post is a deep state-run outlet. These reports could be designed to create a rift between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
We need to understand that both Israel and the America's deep state want PGCC actively join the war against Iran - that way, the military pressure that Iran is heavily putting on Israel can be alleviated. In other words, they want the war to become one that is between Iran and the PGCC.
Let us remember it was NYT and Washington Post that engineered the WMD hoax against Iraq before it was invaded in 2003. It is the same people now pointing the finger at MBS. That being said, one country whose leaders consistently supported the efforts that led to the war from the PGCC side was UAE. Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman consistently opposed this war and advised Trump from taking such a dangerous action.
